[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Libraries and local authors across North America are buzzing with excitement in anticipation of the first annual Indie Author Day, on October 8th. Even though many registered libraries are in the early stages of planning, we’ve seen no shortage of fantastic ideas on how to engage with indie authors in each community. From self-publishing workshops to book signings to networking opportunities — the possibilities are endless! There is just over a month left for libraries to become part of the growing list of Indie Author Day hosts, so be sure to act quickly and have plenty of time to prepare for the big day.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”REGISTER NOW” style=”flat” shape=”square” color=”primary” size=”lg” align=”center” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Findieauthorday.com%2Fregister%3Futm_source%3DIndieAuthorDayBlog%26amp%3Butm_medium%3DblogPost-scarcity%26amp%3Butm_campaign%3DIndieAuthorDay-register||”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][rs_banner_heading weight=”400″ heading=”Congrats to this week’s newest hosts” size=”24px” bottom=”40px” color=”#00aff0″ spacing=”1px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Augusta Richmond County Public Library System

I saw my library system but how do I know which library is part of the day? I live in Chicago and we have a number of libraries. Can you tell me what libraries in Chicago are participating?

    Thank you.

      Hi Karen,

It looks like there are two libraries in Chicago that are participating as of right now: Chicago Public Library and Columbia College Chicago Library. See the full list of participating libraries here: http://indieauthorday.com/where/
      Thanks!

I don’t see any of the libraries near me. Can you contact Stockton, Manteca, Lathrop and Tracy CA libraries and ask them to participate. I would love to participate in one or all of these libraries. I have two book, The Other Side of Alzheimer’s, a caregiver’s Story and The Gospel Choir Murder. I am an Ingram author. I am participating in book festivals in October.I am available before then

      Hi Marietta,

The event is taking place on October 8th, so if you’re available and interested in participating at a local library we can try and help you get involved. Just fill out the author inquiry form and we will be able to help you inform your library about Indie Author Day and let them know that you want to participate if they register to host an event!

      Thanks,

      The Indie Author Day Team
